Union Power Technology Business Inc. (Union Power) has been established in 2017. The core members sitting on board includes Mr. Raymond Tang, Dr David Aldridge and the well-known Hong Kong investor Mr. David Zhang and other professionals in UK.
Union Power is a member of Cambridge Enterprise Venture Partners from 2018-2019.
Dr David Aldridge is from the University of Cambridge. A considerable part of David’s work involves collaboration with the water industry, government agencies and NGOs, and these collaborations provide a significant part of his research funding. While the end-points of his work often have important applications, David’s research is driven by an enthusiasm for addressing fundamental questions in pure biology and ecology. Dr David is awarded the Winner of UK Research Councils’ Bioscience Business Prize, and awarded the Entec Medal for contributions to the environment. He used to be awarded the World Bank’s Development Prize for improving drinking water in China.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. David Zhang has successfully invested in China's real estate market to accumulate more than 300,000 m2 of prime property, culminating in a 30-year strategic partnership with Swedish retailer IKEA.
Mr. Raymond Tang is an expert in financial investment management. In the past more than 13 years, he has promoted cultural and economic exchanges between China and the UK. The projects he operates are multi-award winning and have attracted significant support from the Scottish Government. Significant figures in Scottish politics including the First Minister and various Cabinet Secretaries from within the Scottish Government have graced a number of events to mark successful projects run by Raymond.
